Hello,
I’m a complete Arduino noob so bear with me please. I would usually solve this by just trial and error, but I don’t own two Arduinos yet.
So basically I want to have one Arduino do a task, when it’s finished it should set of the second Arduino to start performing its’ task.
Can I do that by just connecting a pin from one board to the other? With the first board setting the pin on high when it’s finished and having the second board start when it reads high on its’ pin? Or am I just completely wrong there?
Thanks!

You can, you will need to connect the two grounds together as well.
However why do it? There’s seldom a situation where you need two Arduinos if you learn to program the one you have correctly.
As to your title
Simple connection between two bards
The only bard I know of is William Shakespeare, who is the other one? I think to be worthwhile both bards must be alive.

That's the answer I wars looking for, thanks.

Hardware practicability. Less wires.

Hi, welcome to the forum.
What is the application, how can two arduinos be less wires than one?
Unless you have your project spread over a significant distance.
Thanks.. Tom..
