Simple cord question

So I'm brand new to Arduino. I had purchased this deice:

My Arduino kit I ordered:

See the three hole input on the power switch tail? There is a cord that somehow connects the relay to the microcontroller. What is this cord? By the looks of my kit, does it have the right adapters to connect it? If not, what is the cord, and where can I buy it.

Hi

Those 3 pins don't take a specially formed plug, rather being screw terminals for wire with bare ends. There are a few examples online for using it, for example this one that outline how that is done.

Cheers ! Geoff

So any standard wire would work?

It only needs a low voltage trigger, like the 5V that will be coming from your Arduino. That means regular AWG22 hook-up wire or similar (as it appears in the photos on that link I found above) will do the trick nicely.

What exactly is a "AWG22 hook-up wire" are those the wires found in my kit?

The jumper wires in your kit should work. AWG22 is a wire gauge. Buy a spool of wire though- it's cheap and bits of insulation you strip off look nice scattered about on the floor.
