Simple Example Run Won't Appear on 2.8" TFT Touch Sheild for Arduino Uno w/ Cap.

Hello,

I have been working on an Adafruit product, 2.8"TFT Touch Sheild for Arduino with capacitors (P1947), and I am just testing to see if the display works or not. For the “touchpaint” example under “Adafruit_ILI9341,” I was able to compile with no error message and the display on the TFT comes up completely white as you see image attached.

Also, the COM6 pop-up would say, “touch paint!” 1-2 seconds after I upload the program. I am swiping, and nothing is producing a small linear line. I have every file that is needed to complete this example and not sure what to so next??

Drew,

yes i have followed the tutorial (http://www.adafruit.com/products/1651) as i was able to reach the end where it should be allowing lines to be drawn, etc. But there weren’t and assume something is off.

i used these as my library links;

#include <Adafruit_GFX.h> // Core graphics library
#include <SPI.h>
#include <Wire.h> // this is needed even tho we aren’t using it
#include <Adafruit_ILI9341.h>
#include <Adafruit_STMPE610.h>

hmm...no way I can test the library or even do a calibration to improve the communication between the shield to the sketch?
