Hey guys, I made a simple fan circuit that uses a 12 volt fan ran from a 9v battery with a on off switch. easy right. the fan runs slow which is what I want.
For some reason my battery gets very hot when the fan is turned off. Why would this be?
Sounds like you wired your switch direct to your power and ground, which means you are shorting the battery when you turn the switch off.
If so then wire up as show in the attached image.
Why would this be?
I don't think showing us how you wired up the circuit helps us help you.
