simple game console

Hello Arduino Community ,

I am supposed to make a console for a design project, but am ridiculously new to arduino. I have bought all the parts needed, but have no idea how to program... I've also taken out the rumble pak from my PS2, as i thought i could use that.

The projet is a language learning device, where the device asks you a question, and you have the option of 4 responses; using two soft pot (SoftPot Linear Potentiometer 50mm), and two accelerometers, all triggering responses. I wanted to program the device so that if someone picked the wrong response, the device rumbled, and if the correct response was chosen, it would rumble harder.

I have no idea HOW to do this :cold_sweat:, and have been working more on the graphics and design until now...

I have been looking through these forums but don't really have any idea what it is all about. probably because i'm a girl, but girls can use arduino too, right?

anyway, i hope some help is on its way in any shape or form. if anyone has done a project like this, would they be keen to share some knowledge  ? ><"

x

Yes, girls are just as capable as boys.

As to your project, I would start small and work my way up, learning stuff in the process. For example, hook up your soft pots, and detect when they are used, initially sending the results to the Serial output so you can check it is OK.

probably because i'm a girl

The first ever computer programmer was 'a girl': Ada Lovelace - Wikipedia

ENIAC, the first general purpose computer, was programmed by 'girls': ENIAC - Wikipedia

'A girl' wrote COBOL, one of the most successful programming languages ever, and probably still running your bank: Grace Hopper - Wikipedia

Let's not have this 'I'm a girl' nonsense.

Hi,

I suggest you download this guide book and experiment away -
