Simple weekend coding project proposal?

Anyone want a fairly easy contract job this week? Here's what I need, and I'm too busy to bother figuring it out at the mo:

Remote control of a model train locomotive. An Arduino and 433 RF recvr in the locomotive, and an Arduino and 433 RF xmtr in a handheld transmitter. Basically, I need enough example code so that I can vary the message being sent from the transmitter to the locomotive for future variations, which I'll code using my existing meager skills. At the extreme easy end, one transmitted Arduino pushbutton input would cause the engine to start, and another would cause it to stop. Obviously, in practice, lots more would be required, and I want to be able to use various digital and analog inputs in the transmitter to make the locomotive do lots of things, as I get more advanced.

I have briefly looked around at the various example code that's available for the 433 RF devices, and my current knowledge of pointers and variables is inadequate for me to make a go of it. (Note: Pointers have always completely eluded me. I'm convinced they were created by lawyers, not coders.)

Can someone here whip this up for me for a reasonable fee?
