I am trying to automate my home, and as a part of it I want to control my lights. I don't want to be working with high voltages so I am making something that sits outside the light switch. Some of those switches are dimmers, and they are controlled by capacitive touch.
I was wondering how I can simulate a touch on the dimmer.
If its makes any difference I plan to make it battery powered.
At this page are some schematics for touch switches
If you want to do analog voltages, things are a bit more complex. But you can try the transistor approach, with correct values you get some good readings, since they were used for very accurate meassurements.
