site with lists of functions and uses?

hi guys, is there a site (or book) that clearly lists functions with their uses and maybe examples?

i keep ending up asking questions here for basic things and i am guessing people are getting tired of it.

http://arduino.cc/en/Reference/HomePage

yeah i have checked those out some, i need to study up on them more.

can i find everything that is needed to build a solid understanding of the programming there?

i thought that might just be a small taste of some of the commands.

At the top of the reference theres a link to an extended reference, it has some extra info on less frequently used stuff.

These two should give you a good understanding of the programming.

It's basically just a subset of C (and some C++).

There are standrad C functions you can use that are not in the reference, like sprintf, atoi, itoa.

If you look at some of the AVR microprocessor sites you can find further info.

Plenty of examples over in the playground

spooky,

The Arduino web site Reference section lists functions specific to the Arduino platform. There is also a large suite of generic functions available. Documentation for those functions is at http://www.nongnu.org/avr-libc/user-manual/modules.html. Those generic functions are the same functions that you'll find with most C compilers.

Will that information provide you with everything that is needed to build a solid understanding of the programming on the Arduino web site? No, but it's a start. You'll also need to understand the C (and, to a lesser extent the C++) programming languages.
