Slightly off-topic: generator voltage/frequency regulation

I know it isn’t arduino related, but it is electrical related.

I have attached a PDF of the schematic for my generator. it seems fairly simple, but i don’t recognize in it how it regulates voltage and frequency.

just curious, really.
