Sloppy I'm sure, but ALMOST working!

Jim_Socks: sure you haven't heard the last of me... this project is about to get BIG. I am betting it will soon require more code than the arduino memory can handle... so I bet I will soon be trying to use the cardslot on the ethernet shield to store some of it- with all the headaches that is likely to bring I'm sure I'll be back!

THANKS SO MUCH!

Be sure and let us know the results of your project, and when you get featured in http://hackaday.com/?s=liquor

"Cheers", John

P.S. the SD card is not going to help you when you're code gets too big...

SPI is 11,12,13. (MOSI-MISO-SCK)
10 is slave select pin, must be an output.
Is it really using SPI, or faking it instead?

Bummer. What will?

Need a chip with bigger memory. Like '1284P, with 16K SRAM (twice what a Mega has) and 128K Flash, four times with a '328P has. Dual hardware serial ports. I offer a duemilanove-style board you can easily assemble too. $5 for the board with shipping, buy new parts for $15-20 or scrounge what you can from your parts bins. http://www.crossroadsfencing.com/BobuinoRev17/ parts list here. Use onboard-FTDI module MIKROE438 from mouser.com, or offboard FTDI module/cable, CP2102 module etc.
