Small powerfull powersuppl

Hey,

Does someone have an idea what kind of powersupply could I use for the following specification.
I‘ve got an Arduino Uno and about 150 WS2812B Leds and some Sensors. The Arduino and the Sensors are in a small box.
So I need an 5V/5A Powersupply. But I need a really small one. The height should be as small as possible but for lenght and width is a lot of space.

It would be a lot easier to help if you used numbers instead of unhelpful terms like "small as possible" and "lot of space". How much room do you actually have (in inches or millimetres) and what input voltage do you need for the power supply?

Steve

230V to 5V

Height: max. 2cm
Width: max. 20cm
Length: max. 20cm

Is open-frame OK, or does it need to be enclosed?

Dosent matter. So it also can be a open-frame

The best I found was https://uk.farnell.com/xp-power/vct40us05/psu-ac-dc-40-w-open-frame-5-0v/dp/1716958

Which is 2.4cm high.

Thanks MarkT for your efforts, but I allready know this powersupply...

Mhh.. May I use a external powersupply like a loading cable für Notebooks ?

Do you know one?

That would work except most laptops use a 20V supply. You would need converters to get down to 5V.

An external 5V supply is certainly possible. Something like https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/desktop-power-supply/8808366/ would work. There are many others, EBay or AliExpress will find plenty.
