small stepper 28BYJ-48 , debug

Hello,
yesterday I connected my UNO to a 28BYJ-48 stepper to test it. But the motor does not spin.
I tried an other arduino, external power source, all combinations of the 4 pins (8-11) and different sketches.

zc-a0591 is printed on the driverboard, but it looks like this: http://arduino-info.wikispaces.com/SmallSteppers.
driver is connected to board 5V and GND.
the LEDs are blinking weakly and the motor vibrates and makes sounds. Is it the voltage?

thank you for helping!

The driver output stages lose a volt or more - try powering the driver from 7V or so to
allow for this.

If motor still vibrates rather than turning it would imply you have the sequence of phases
wrong.

hi mark,

what if I use the 9V from arduino?
I have a adjustable power supply, but im still finding out how to use it, because it doesnt apply current, while conneted to the motor.
I tried all sequences, as suggested on this site: How To Get Your First Arduino Stepper Motor Running | Utopia Mechanicus | Page 2
