Continuing the discussion from Elegoo Smart Car V4 Problem:
I'm having a simular problem.. .except there is a rapidly flashing red light and when I pull the connections to the camera, the light goes back to normal. the camera module is warm, and when I plug in the servo connection it just glows steady red. please help.
Like I said, I had a similar problem because the battery was ouputting a steady current of 6.47 when it should be at 7.5, so grab a multimeter, read it out, and try and trouble shoot from there.
The Camera Module (esp32 wrover or s3 wroom 1) heats up because the power entering the cam module is 5v and the esp32 workes on 3.3v.
Where did you find that? In the wiring diagram of the shield? Did you measure it? Does the shield not route 3v3 to the pin for the ESP32?
See I have the same car and on the prototype expasion module in which we connect the esp32 the uno (UART) there is txd rxd +5V and gnd. so i simply upload a code i made myself. and i am fine with it.
If it works, why the warning?
because i removed the esp32 cam module
