smart water bottle

Hi all,
I'm new to Arduino so I'll be glad to get your suggestions
I want to make a smart water bottle with a weight sensor that allows to know how much water is in the bottle. speaker and LED lights to alert that there is a need to drink water.
what sensor, speaker and Led lights do you suggest?

thanks in advance for your help!

What water bottle are YOU suggesting?
Paul

"Thirst" usually works as a sensor for the need to drink water.

Use a transparent water bottle. When thirsty drink, as suggested. When bottle is reduced to 1/4 full refill the bottle. I have no idea what you are asking?

Welcome to the forum

Weighting things is a lot harder than you might think. Have a look at electronic weight scales. They all have moving parts and need to be switched on without any weight for calibration before you can place a weight on it.

As soon as the bottle is not vertical but leans onto something or you hold it, the result is invalid. The same is true when you are accelerating, which is basically all the time when you are moving.

I would never buy this smart bottle of yours. I have enough stuff that needs charging. You will need to charge the bottle with water and electricity. Some sports watches and apps already have a function to remind people to drink more.

Sensor: I'd look for a weight sensor with the appropriate range, and suitable size and mounting options.
Speaker: one that fits properly in the allotted space, and is loud and clear enough to do its job.
LEDs: probably WS2812B for the fancy light show.
Trying to be as specific as possible based on the copious project details given.

thank you all for your help!!
I'm not trying to sell anything, I'm just doing a research for college work.
I thought about the fact that a lot of people don't really know how much water they should drink during a day, considering weather conditions and personal data.
Also not al the people remember to drink and as someone wrote about "Thirst", there are a lot of researches that shows that this sensation is not good enough. therefore I'm checking if it is possible to create a personal water bottle that can Measure the amount of water you drink, and alert when the water consumption target is not met.
I know there are apps to remind that but how easy is it to just cancel the alert or ignore it?
that's why I thought about a speaker that will be connected to the bottle itself and it will be possible to silence it only from the bottle.
so my idea is an IOT bottle, with Arduino Nano 33 IOT.
I really have no knowledge about sensors that's why I wrote this post.

I'm going to be a bit negative about this idea I'm afraid.

Water is not the only thing you need in hot weather, salts/electrolytes/blood sugar are very important.
Just drinking lots of water can lead to over-dilution of the blood electrolytes. Management of hydration
is best done through measurements of actual hydration status, such as though urine colour, because
that takes into account the actual fluid loss, not a simplistic guestimate of it - sweating rate varies
considerably depending on activity, shade, humidity, wind strength, these aren't going to be in your
water bottle's model of water-loss rate.

I appreciate your opinion. yet, I'm not trying to sell the bottle or really build it. I'm just doing work for college and I need to understand how to build it so I could write about the components and the idea. that's it

Not going to work for me.

On a typical day I drink water from two or three different cups (at home, at work), my water bottle (on the way), a drink or a bowl of soup in the restaurant for lunch, a cup of coffee or two, whatever is in my food... Most of those are missed if just looking at the water bottle for water intake.

When going for a hike, especially in summer (30°C, 70% humidity, sunny, steep mountainous terrain) I tend to have several 1.5-liter bottles with me as just one bottle is not enough  I have done hikes where I brought four of those plus a small water bottle and it was still not enough.

Not too worried about electrolytes. That bowl of soup is probably giving me the salt for the week.
