SMARTWATCH

Hi Everyone

I want to make my own smart watch as i have done many other projects and want to do something more challenging.

I would just like to hear if what i am asking is possible...

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. 1.8 INCH touch screen (OLED or LCD... which ever is better)
  2. Arduino pro mini or Arduino nano (to control interactions between components)
  3. SD mount for libraries (touch library and etc...)
  4. Bluetooth (to connect with phone to receive message info - eg texts)

dont mind to much between arduino pro mini or nano.... prefer the nano cause of the micro usb already mounted but just want some advice on the project

thanks

Not sure about the screen.. or what you'll need to control/communicate with it..

but the rest sounds like normal project stuff...

SD card will use SPI..

Bluetooth will (most likely) use SERIAL

Pro-Mini's are smaller.. unless you dont care about having a HUGE watch on your wrist! lol.

you might be looking at making a custom board if you really want to fit this all in a watch.. with all SMD components.. (and even then.. it might not be as small as you think)

Need a wheelbarrow to carry it?

  1. SD mount for libraries (touch library and etc...)

You do not use an SD card to store libraries in. You use it to store and read data.

He could put it on a chain around his neck and become a rapper.
