I just installed 1.6.5

It did not install the SoftwareSerial library in C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\libraries

It is not in my C:\Users\me\Documents\Arduino\libraries either...

As a side... I can find the library on Github but the page does not have a DOWNLOAD button...??? How do you download the library as a zip file?

Hello,

They moved some libraries from that location you looked to this new location:

arduino-1.6.5-r5\hardware\arduino\avr\libraries

No need to download it.
