Yep those adapters are nice. As a quick-n-dirty alternative,

Very Clever, I would use hot glue the Acetic Acid given off by some silicone "Caulk" are really corrosive and some times conductive too (from experience.

Used this before but wanted a more compact fit + the pads for the Pins on the dip end were too small and tended to peal off. I guess i could make a file with larger pads.
