I want to setup a system in which I want to use battery power for the Ardunio. Moreover, I want to use solar powered battery. Can any body suggest a solar device or any other battery system or solar power market product which I can use to power up my Arduino.
I have a similar idea
I dont know if this will work , but I intend to try:
An old mobile-phone battery: Li-Ion 3.6V around 1000mA/Hr
A 6V solar panel ( maybe 3 or 4 salvaged gardenlamp panels in series )
A dirt simple 4.2V charger/regulator - home-made to keep the battery charged
I guess the Arduino would then need a lo-drop 3V3 regulator.
A chip to shut the battery down if the voltage goes below 3.5, otherwise
it gets wrecked ( so I'm told ).
Should, in principle, keep a low-power device working all year round.
