Hi,
I am making a wildlife camera + weather webserver using 1x ESP 32 cam and 1x ESP 8266 (nodeMCU).
For power, I am using 10x 100mA, 5V solar panels that I plan to wire in parallel to increase amperage and the DF robot 5V MPPT manager along with a 3.7v 18560 battery.
I am wondering about the wire size i should use for the solar panel parallel wiring
Thanks
At 100ma per panel, use the smallest wire you have.
should it not be more considering they are wired in parallel?
18 ga. total load is only ~1A. 10x panels at 100mA ea = 1A peak
what do you mean by 18ga. ?
Wire dia - US - 18Ga. AKA 1mm
Minimum wire gauge is 30 awg (although I wouldn't go smaller that 28 awg) for .1A per cell. From where they meet 18 awg is needed.

Only from the point where you have made them parallel. When you know the diameter of the wire you have, you can look up the current capacity.
