Are you looking for an Arduino design to count the cans?

Paul

Hi,
Welcome to the Forum.

First describe what you want to achieve;
For example;
"Project to provide a charging station that is powered by PV cells and accepts payment in cans."

Put in point form what you want your Arduino to do;
For example;

  • Count cans payment.
  • Control output current as per payment.
  • Control charging of "batteries" by PV cells.

Then basically what parts you will need.
For example.

  • Arduino controller
  • Batteries
  • PV cells
  • Device to accept and count cans.
  • Display to show charge and payment.

You will need more hardware than this.

Have you researched PV and batteries and charging, as well as how to make a can counter?
Is this a project for school evaluation, ie will you get marks for it?

I hope this gets you started.

Tom.. :slight_smile:

Well without having much of a clue what you really want to do, I'd say start with a solar power installation (panels, controller, battery - all suitably sized for your location & expected power draw), a charging station and a pile of tin cans.
