Solarbotics L298 Compact Motor Driver

i am planing to use this motor controler to power a robot i am currently making.

can someone please explain to me how i can interface this with arduino to control two motors controling their direction and their speed if posible.

I've got one too... the instructions they provide are pretty self explanatory.. you'll use a digitalWrite to a pin to set direction, and an analogWrite to set the PWM signal... (I reccomend increasing the pwm frequency though, maybe use the Timer1 library)
