So many parts are sold out for months…
Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

I imagine it is the chip shortage caused by the pandemic shutdowns.
The very well known worldwide chip shortage.
I was recently looking to get some of the newish AVR chips such as AVR128DB32, looks like a good replacement for an ATmega328P on a Pro Mini. Current estimated stock arrival, from a number of suppliers, is August 2023.
There is also a war being waged in the Ukraine by Russia and China is threatening the worlds biggest chip maker in Taiwan. This along with the pandemic, a fire in one of the worlds largest chip manufacturer, and also a fire in the only factory in the world that made the glue that sticks chips to subframes didn't help.
This is hampering big car manufacturers and the consumer electronics manufacturers, so very small hobbyists like you and me are way way down the list when it comes to getting parts. I would not be surprised if that delivery time goes out further.
Yes indeed, its perhaps no-coincidence that tensions over the independance of Taiwan have increased significantly in the last few weeks.
Maybe China sees an opportunity here with the West somewhat distracted with the post pandemic and what is happening in Ukraine.
If China gets control of Taiwan then they control a great many of the Worlds semiconductors.
I was trying to find out how dependant the World is on Taiwan, and I found this comment on a news website;
"Taiwan makes 65% of the world’s semiconductors and almost 90% of the advanced chips.
"By comparison, China produces a little over 5% while the U.S. produces approximately 10%, according to market analysts. South Korea, Japan, and the Netherlands are the other sources of the product, which is at the heart of many electronic devices and machinery"
Now, where did I put those OC71s and AC128s ?
Experts in the U.S. claim that the technology used by Taiwan Semiconductor is about a decade ahead of anything anyone else in the world is using. Essentially all of the world's most advanced chips are made there.
If China invades Taiwan, it seems likely that Taiwan Semi would be damaged or destroyed, setting world technology quite a ways back. The current chip shortage would probably be considered trivial in comparison.
The Chinese know this, of course, which makes their current belligerence difficult to interpret.
Difficult to interpret ?
One suspects that if there are 'plans' for Taiwan; its how do you take over the Semiconductor manufacturing before the locals can damage it.
If the Chinese were to control who in the rest of the World has semiconductors .......................
I think is stems from this:-
It says
But Mr Xi, who would have been due to step down in 2023, defied the tradition of presenting a potential successor during October's Communist Party Congress.
It is to make sure he is seen as being in control, especially as his policy on covid is, based on lockdowns rather than vaccines, is coming under increased world wide attack and disquiet in the country.
I would be surprised if the Taiwanese do not already have bombs strategically planted, along with means to destroy all local technical documentation and operating manuals.
And, TSMC is moving some of its manufacturing to the U.S. and possibly elsewhere:
why did you ask this in the "Nano 33 BLE" category?
Nano 33 BLE has for some time officially been listed as "sold out": Arduino Nano 33 BLE — Arduino Online Shop
it is available in Europe version of the Store
Amazon shows it in-stock too
I’m going with the RP2040.
Better bargain than what resellers of the 33 Ble are asking.
