Solder faston big dome to Arduino

Hi everyone! I'm a design student and i need help for my thesis project with arduino.

I need to connect this dome button ( with arduino and i don't know how. I read that I need a Cable lugs to properly connect it to the board.
Is it necessary or we can just solder the plug to the arduino cable?

If someone have some advices, links, guides or tips let me know, i will appreciate it a lot!

Welcome to the forum

The correct way to connect to the switch and LED would be to use spade connectors but soldering to the lugs would work. Be careful not to apply too much heat if you solder them to reduce the chance of damage

What kind of arduino do you have?
What cable you are talking about?
What is the purpose of this connection? What this button should do?
The linked button has a 12V LED. This cannot be directly connected to the Arduino.

thank you very much! I'll read about spade connectors

I have an arduino mega. I was thinking about the standard arduino cable (the one i used for the rest of the project).

The purpose is just to send a 0 or 1 signal to the serial monitor. I just need a big button, that's all. Until now i used a regual arduino's button, but i need something bigger

So you are not going to use the LED in the button

No, but i didn't find a big button without the led

Take your button to auto parts store or any hardware store and get matching spade connectors. And a crimping tool. If you decide to try soldering, have several buttons because any movement of the connection may make the button switch inoperable. Been there and done that!
