Solder spooler video

No reason to post this other than that it is interesting.
It is nothing to do with me, I found it on youtube.

OK, that is neat! I almost can't believe it works. Does he have a servo turning on the drill using a ruler as a linkage???

I suppose it beats buying a $10k winding machine.

The Gadget Shield: accelerometer, RGB LED, IR transmit/receive, light sensor, potentiometers, pushbuttons

Let me guess... You got there frome his soldering tutorials?

that is a good project but where does it have any real use...

who has to spool all their solder...

The guy in the video says he sells intro-to-soldering kits with 1 oz. spools of solder, so presumably this spooler is to take solder off a big roll and put it onto small rolls for sale.

The Quick Shield: breakout all 28 pins to quick-connect terminals

I have made plenty of things that have no use, but if they have a motor, things move, bits waggle about and maybe a few lights come on, then they interest me.
