Being a complete newbie to electronics I need to get myself something to Solder with. I have NO experience at all. I don't want to spend a lot of cash just yet until I have enough experience to warrant getting a really nice unit.
Is that any good to start? What would you guys suggest I buy?
What I have...
I have one minor complaint about it... The iron cools quickly while working. But, it also heats back up quickly. This requires setting the temperature a bit higher than the actual solder melting point. I do, however, like the iron very much. It was well worth the money. If it died today, I would not hesitate to replace it with the same make/model.
