Solenoid alternative for lock

Hey guys.

I'm making a locked wooded box using arduino. A solenoid is perfect for my job, but they are too power hungry. The only 5V solenoid available here is the Sparkfun 5V Solenoid. Is it good? I will be powering it 3 seconds at a time.

Or should I look into some other alternative to solenoids?

Any help and advice will be appreciated.

You could consider a servo and a latch.
