I've been banned on #arduino but have no idea why! I've asked a couple of questions about LCD panels, and that's about it! Who can help?

Well if you want anyone to help you, you should tell us your username that was banned.

I had the same problem... It went away when I registered with nickserv..

/msg nickserv

copy and paste the email you will receive, and you'll be all set!

You have not been banned, you just need to register your nick.

Okay, here's what happened, for some unknown reason I was unable to post to #arduino.

09:15 < n1md4> test
09:15 -!- #arduino Cannot send to channel

I run IRC in a screen session on a server, so never log out. I thought I was banned, but this was a typo; I'd unintentionally tried to change my nick when trying to instead message someone on the Arduino channel. During my erroneous nick change the status window said "You not change your nick whilst banned from a channel". I logged out or irssi and back again, and am now able to post to the channel.
