This is the First time that I try to use the arduino IDE with a new ESP32 WROOM-S2 (38 pins).
I can’t connect the board, the error says “Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out waiting for packet header”. I tried each COM-port.
The problem is welknown, but I can’t solve it. I followed the instructions in [SOLVED] Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out waiting for packet header | Random Nerd Tutorials . I pressed the boot-button and I soldered a capacitor between EN and GND
Who has any suggestion?
After selecting to upload the code, did you try pressing the button on the development board? The part about pressing the button is "WHEN" the button is pressed. Select upload and then press the button.
It worked fine with Linux. I programed only one and I could have been lucky.
The ESP seemed to be defective.
I contacted my deliverer with the same question. Spontaneous he offered me to send under guarantee a new processorboard. Now I can extend my program.
