[SOLVED]Crius OLED display and modifying sketch to store ASCII in progmem.

I got my Crius CO-16 display working from help on this forum :slight_smile: thanks!

However it appears that the sketch used stores the ASCII table in ram. That makes it take up about 40% of the ram on a 328.
Storing ASCII table in progmem reduces the skeches footprint to 57 bytes! (2%)

problem is, this is my first attempt at storing anything in progmem, and the examples show a single dimensional array, not a 2 dimensional.

Can you help me get this reading the ascii table from progmem?

the commented potion is the original. I've guessed, and played around with "pgm_read_byte_near" part and tried a few others without any success.

The display still prints 'stuff' to the display, just not the characters anymore.

I solved my problem! :slight_smile:

The ASCII table is now stored in progmem, giving back 38% of the 328's RAM !
