[Solved...Kind of] Can't select port when I connect Arduino Uno

Hi!

I'm having problems connecting my Arduino Uno to my PC. It's worked fine since I've got it (over a month), and recently I bought the Adafruit Motor Shield V2.

It was working just fine with that connected too, but now it's ... well, not.

I've uninstalled the software and reinstalled it. I've updated to the newest software. I've tried holding down the reset button while I plugged it in, nothing! The port menu is greyed out.

I also have the Makeblock board from this robot. If I plug that in, it appears in COM 6 (Uno is usually on COM 4). Does this mean it's a problem with the Arduino itself?..

When it's plugged in, the power light is on, as well as an orange light next to what looks like an L on the board (above RX and TX).

Any ideas? :frowning:

Windows 7 64bit.

Tried plugging into my brothers laptop - same problem.

Took it back to the store and - after arguing for quite a while about how I didn't buy it at the store (I did) so I couldn't replace it - I got a new one. Works fine now. Guess the board broke?
