[SOLVED] Locating soldering iron tips

I can't find a source for tips for this old Weller WTCPN. I contacted Weller two weeks ago but they haven't deigned to respond. Is there such a thing as a compatible tip out there? The number on the tip itself is 'P7A'.

My first Google hit shows lots of them. Newark. We get them from other vendors.

Amazing. Thanks! I can usually track things down. Must have been a momentary lapse of reason.

I half suspected this model was out of production with no parts available. Good to see otherwise.

With P7A, you’re searching with an incomplete part number. It’s actually PTA7. The series is PT, then a letter for the tip shape/size and then temperature 7 = 700F.

Oh, and Weller is now Apex Group. The DigiKey listings above are manufacturer original tips.

Oops. Listing with the tips that DigiKey stocks.

You are absolutely correct. Thanks. I went and had another look at the tip. I had to put some steel wool to it to even make out P7A. Now I see that it is actually PTA on the barrel and the 7 is stamped into the flat end - so, yes, PTA7. I wondered about the discrepancy between what was in my hand and the web numbers. After @Paul_KD7HB's suggestion of Newark and landing on a valid part number I found them, and a selection of their brethren, at several of the usual sources.

Surprisingly too, prices differ by only pennies.
