I recently bought a MKR 1010 wifi board and its not being detected by my laptop at all. I tried every thing. Changed the usb cable 3 times, pressed twice on the reset button to go into bootloader mode, installed the drivers for the board again. Yet, my laptop doesn't want to recognise that the board is plugged in. The board is getting power( green light is on) and the orange light is fading in and out. How do i solve this problem.
Hi @kareka87. Make sure the USB cable is completely plugged into both the Arduino board and the PC.
If the cable is not fully inserted into the socket, it can result in the power connections being made (and thus LED lights on the board), but no data connections (and thus no port for the board).
I thought about changing the cable for the 4th time and it actually worked!!! Apparently the cables i was using weren't cables that transfer data but just for power.
