SOLVED reading the mpu6500 is fine but how do I take action ?

I am trying to get an MPU6500 to help a blind friend of mine tell when a tea tray is flat
I have taken all the steps in this site and it works as indicated.
The sketch is too long to fit in this thread but is on the web site above.
I have removed the bits I don’t want and got this

         Serial.print("ypr\t");
            Serial.print(ypr[0] * 180/M_PI);
            Serial.print("\t");
            Serial.print(ypr[1] * 180/M_PI);
            Serial.print("\t");
            Serial.print(ypr[2] * 180/M_PI);
            Serial.print("\t");
            Serial.print(ypr[1]);
            Serial.print("\t");
            if (ypr[1]>0.32 || ypr[1]<0.25);
              Serial.println("tilt");
        #endif
        // blink LED to indicate activity
   //     blinkState = !blinkState;
   //     digitalWrite(LED_PIN, blinkState);
   if (ypr[1]>0.32 || ypr[1]<0.25);
     {
       blinkState = !blinkState;
   //    delay (100);
       digitalWrite(LED_PIN, blinkState);
     }

Of which the last few lines are significant.

         Serial.print("ypr\t");
            Serial.print(ypr[0] * 180/M_PI);
            Serial.print("\t");
            Serial.print(ypr[1] * 180/M_PI);
            Serial.print("\t");
            Serial.print(ypr[2] * 180/M_PI);
            Serial.print("\t");
            Serial.print(ypr[1]);
            Serial.print("\t");
            if (ypr[1]>0.32 || ypr[1]<0.25);
              Serial.print("tilt");
            Serial.println("\t");
        #endif
        // blink LED to indicate activity
        blinkState = !blinkState;
        digitalWrite(LED_PIN, blinkState);
     }
   }

I have added the line to print ypr[1] which it does and the line to print tilt but the tilt line shows in the monitor even if the number is between 0.25 and 0.32.
How can I get it to recognize and act on the reading of ypr[1]?

Thanks.

I would use an “if” statement, and test the value of ypr[1] against some limits, e.g.

if ( (ypr[1] > x) && (ypr[1] < y) ) do_something();

thanks jremington.
I have used a 'if' statement but I put a semicolon at the end of the line. I have removed and it works now thanks.

Very common mistake and hard to spot!
