***SOLVED*** Screen print numbers on ESP12E Developement board

Are the screen print numbers of any use? When you specify a pin in IDE, do you use the GPIO numbers or these screen printed numbers?

*** SOLVED ****: It is the screen print numbers NOT the GPIO that you refer to in IDE.

At least with the WeMos and NodeMCU boards, you can use either. When you use the silkscreen pin numbers, you must use the D*n* notation (e.g. digitalRead(D4), instead of digitalRead(4)), just as written on the board. That is confusing because some other Arduino boards like the Nano put the "D" on the pin numbers on the silkscreen to indicate digital pins, but you must use the number alone in the code.

I prefer to use the numbers from the silkscreen because that's less confusing.
