SOLVED Tutorial on setting up functions?

Grrrrr I'm pretty sure I've read a tutorial on setting up functions, somewhere, but can't find it. I don't see it in the Reference page, or the Playground. I looked in the IDE standard examples. I looked in a couple of the off-site tutorials like Nick Gammond's and Grumpy_(myzen)_Mike's...

All the Reference says about functions, is a heading under which all the existing functions are listed.

I'm sure I read a guide on how to set up new ones. Anybody point me at it?
