We want to use the Portenta H7 and X8 in an embedded setting which restricts access to the USB-C connector.
We tried flashing using the usb_1 port as the schematic suggests, but it did not connect to Arduino IDE on Ubuntu Linux or Windows 10.
Is there a way to flash the Portenta using the df40c connector besides JTAG?

OK, apparently the Portenta Breakout board has pins that need to be soldered together(3 pairs right above the upper connector) to connect USB1. I couldn't find any documentation for that, but it did the trick...
