[SOLVED] Where To Find Specific Colors of Jumper Wires

I teach Arduino workshops and have found its a lot easier to show students how connect circuits if everyone uses the same color for similar connections. For example, using red for power, black for ground, yellow for analog signal, orange for servo motor signal, etc. This also makes trouble shooting an issue a lot easier.

I usually prep some kits before hand, going through my jumper wires and sorting everything based on the colors I want to use. However, this can be a bit time consuming. Especially with everything else I need to do.

I wanted to know if anyone knows a site where I can order a set of specific color jumper wires. Like 500 of just red, 500 of just black, etc.

Thanks for reading.

You have not said what part of the world you are in.

Oh, didn't think that mattered.

My space is in New York City, New York. USA.

I doubt if you are going to order from a European supplier any more than I would be prepared to pay shipping costs from the USA.

OK. I understand that but its not my question. I'm just looking if there is a supplier for specific colors of jumper wires.

Do you know of any?

It may very difficult to find single color jumpers. If you exhaust that and have the time you could just order spools of wire and make your own. There are several links within the thread linked.

Yes Dougp, that is what I am finding.

I could make my own, but now I'm thinking it may be easier to just buy a bunch of jumper wires and sort them myself.

westfw, thanks!

In general, Aliexpress seems to have a lot of vendors selling "jumper wires" in various colors and lengths, with various (bare wire, "dupont connector" end finishes. I'd be on the lookout for jumpers made from stranded wires; they are NOT what you want for plugging into protoboards (even if the ends are "tinned") Solid wire jumpers should be at least 24g.

These are high quality jumpers that are superior to that ebay garbage.

For many types of jumpers, see Pololu.

Thanks for all the links everyone. I did some digging and managed to get in contact with Kookye. They are a seller for many Arduino kits and parts on Amazon. If anyone is interested, they can sell sets of specific colors. I'm waiting for after the holidays to put in an order. It may only be worth buying from them if you want a large number, which I am going to do.

I'll update this post when I get them in to let y'all know about the quality.

Here's their email if anyone is interested in ordering a large amount of kits or parts.

Thanks again.
