Some kind of underwater receiver

Hi guys I want to make my invention and I wonder is what system would I use to transmit from a boat to an underwater receiver preferably with the receiver have no batteries the receiver doesn't have to do much just a single mechanical movement and I would need the range to reach 100m I guess my best comparison would be If I wanted to unlock a car 100m away underwater by pressing a single button and the lock preferably has no power source.

Is it possible?
Please ask any questions
The transmitter on the boat can be pretty big and would prefer to be powered by 12v/24v however 240v is available as a very last resort
Please help me I'm poor...I mean new

Whatever device is underwater will need some form of power.

A. For the receiver.
B. To activate whatever makes the movement.
C. Possibly to send a signal back to let you know it did something.

It will help you get the best out of the forum in the future.

Posting tips.

  • Always list the version of the IDE you are using and the board version if applicable.
  • How to insert an image into your post. ( Thanks Robin2 )
  • Add your sketch where applicable but please use CODE TAGS ( </> )
  • Add a SCHEMATIC were needed even if it is hand drawn
  • Add working links to any specific hardware as needed (NOT links to similar items)
  • Guessing is not the best way to describe an issue. Actual facts are the most important.
  • Remember that the people trying to help cannot see your problem so give as much information as you can

Bob.

I always thought the idea behind "invention" was that the inventor figured out the hard stuff.

Sending signals to an underwater device without a wired connection is VERY difficult and VERY expensive EVEN when the underwater device is powered. Ask the US Navy.

Sonar is an option, and can definitely bridge that distance - I expect it should be able to get a data rate of 1-2 bps without too much effort.

If you really want to invent something, and maybe claim the credit for it or market the device, perhaps its best not to have your 'invention' details recorded for perpetuity on a public forum.

2 core lead.

Train a dolphin.

"Is it possible?"

Generally, no, unless you have some magic pixie dust.

Try Banggood:

A 100m long pipe.

At the 'receiver' end a rubber diaphragm with a micro switch attached.

You have a piston at the 'transmitter' end that you use to force water into the pipe.

No batteries needed at either end.

Kevlar fishing line

Nothing beats dynamite. The shockwave can do whatever you like - just don't swim near it.
