I am working on a project that uses an uno and an Ethernet shield to send analog values to a modbus hmi running on advanced hmi . This all works wonderfully thanks to GWManning @ http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=131915.0 . Now I am thinking about shrinking the foot print due to size restrictions. I know a pro mini will do everything an uno will but the ethernet shield is still large. I found little ethernet break outs based on the enc28j60 chip. They work great with the examples in the two librarys i have found for them UIPEthernet and ethercard. But i have no idea how to use them with the mudbus library. Has any one got this to work / know where to start? Or has anyone found a tiny wiznet break out for a comparable price?
