SOS new guy. Due not found by computer.

Hey everyone. I unboxed it today and this is literally my first time doing anything with anything ever.

As far as I can tell, the directions were followed.
-It's plugged into my Mac (Mojave 10.14.6) via USB
-using the port next to the DC jack, as per instructions
-ON led is lit, L led is blinking roughly 1 per second
-successfully installed Arduino Create plug-in for Chrome and following directions.

clicked "getting started", then "auto detect board"

I'm stuck on step 1. Connect VIA USB. Says "we could not find any board"

The only further instructions were to come to this forum. I'm really excited to start learning how this all works. Hoping someone can tell me what super rook move I already made.

THANKS

Arduino IoT Cloud can only be used with specific Arduino boards:

As you can see, your Due is not on that list. The reason is because Arduino IoT Cloud requires connectivity to the Internet, and Due does not have built-in networking support.

You can still use your Due with the Arduino Web Editor component of Create. It's only the Arduino IoT Cloud component that will require you to get a different board.
