Sound-measuring Device with Arduino and Python

Hi Folks

We developed a sound-measuring Device with Arduino and Python. If you need a sound-level meter to measure sound or embed sound-measuring functions into your project, our device will be your perfect choice!

We launched our project yesterday on kickstarter. We are so excited just thinking about meeting you guys, talking about the cool stuff we can do together! We have facebook account linked on Kickstarter, so if you guys are interested in just talking to us, you can friend me or just send me an message on the Kickstarter page. Below is our Kickstarter link, looking forward to talking to you!

Archo uses a USB socket to connect to a computer. Using the open source python library provided for Archo, whose basic function is to record and play sound under 48kHz sample rate, you can write your own python codes.

If you're using a computer I don't see why you need any hardware other than a calibrated USB microphone.

First, Archo is a device that can use Arduino to read the sound levels. You cannot use Arduino to connect to a calibrated USB microphone unless you have the equipment like intel Galileo.

Second, Archo can do some high-level anlalysis when it's connected to a computer.
