So.. I making Wheatley from portal 2 and am working on his eye at the moment. I want to use about 10 LEDs. I want the LEDs to get darker when there is quiet sounds and brighter when there are louder sounds) The velleman sound to light kit:
sounds perfect for my needs, BUT I want to use more LEDs than just 4 (more like 10) Do you think I will be able to mod this kit so it will be able to control more LEDs? If so, how?
Instead of using a 47 ohm resistor for R9, use three 150 ohm resistors each feeding four LEDs in series.
Kind of like this, but with 150 ohm resistors, four LEDs in each of only three branches - or three LEDs if you are using white. It will not be quite as bright, but with modern efficient LEDs, it should be OK.
