I am finding portable gaseous sensor for detection of biosynthetic VOC, like 8-carbon compounds, 3-methyl-1-butanol, 2-methyl-1-propanol, or other degenerates from amino acids, do anyone know if there is any sensor which can cover those gases?
Most VOC sensors respond to a very wide range of small, volatile, carbon containing compounds, but the response is typically characterized for only a few.
Your internet search capabilities are very likely as good as that of any other forum member, so carefully read the datasheets for the possibilities that you turn up, and decide for yourself.
Or, buy a couple of candidates and test the response with the compounds of interest.
I attempted to find suitable sensors for my concerned compounds, but the detection values can be specific and exclude those compounds not concerned, but I could only find sensors for TVOC, or for very few VOC such as methane, formaldehyde. Just want to ask whether Arduino produced gaseous sensors before which I missed.
The Arduino company doesn't make any sensors. If you want to detect specific compounds, then advanced (expensive) methods like gas chromatography, used in professional analytical laboratories, are needed.
