Sparkfun 9DOF Sensor Stick Accelerometer Z-Axis stuck

I've got one of these Sparkfun 9DOF Sensor Sticks and it's pretty awesome.

The only trouble is that my accelerometers Z axis is reporting a constant "511" no matter how I shake the damn thing. The gyros, magnetomer and accelerometer X and Y axis are perfect, it's just that pesky accelerometer Z axis.

Am I missing something or do you think the z axis is busted?

Nevermind! I fixed it.

I changed the accelerometer resolution via

  Wire.beginTransmission(ACCEL_ADDRESS);
  WIRE_SEND(0x31);  // Data format register
  WIRE_SEND(0x0B);  // Set to full resolution    //WAS 0x08
  Wire.endTransmission();
