SPDT relay gets stuck while switching

I used Arduino to control the switching of 5V SPDT relays. But they get stuck and hence my project is not working properly.
The spec's of the relay used are:
220V AC, 7 A
6 V DC.

A relay usually only gets stuck if you're putting far too much current
through the contacts..

Do they work correctly if operated by a simple switch on the coil instead of an arduino ? - in which case your programming may be faulty

And I hope you have a relay module, not just a relay? The Arduino can't drive a relay directly (with the exception of some rare types).

You have to say what gets stuck, the contacts or the relay coil?
If you switch nothing on the contacts does it still get "stuck".

Unlikely - but is it a magnetically latching relay? - that's what they're meant to do

Could you post a link to your relay or relay module?
Also a connection diagram?
Also a the specs for the connected load?
Also your code?

Without this stuff, not only might the relay remain stuck, you might remain stuck trying to get your project working.
