Split string to array by characters

Hi,
how can I split string like "led:7" into array ["led", "7"]? Something like function string.Split(':') in C#?
Thanks.

use strtok, keeping in mind that it works on character arrays, not String objects, so if you start with a String object, you have to first get the character array.

Can you please confirm that you want to split a null terminated array of chars (aka a string) rather than an object created using the String library (aka a String) ?

What is the origin of this string ?

Actually, you asked for C#. If that's your interest, google C# and split() which is similar to strtok().

Ummm, no, the OP asked for an Arduino function, i.e.: C++, that would give the same results as split, but I can see the ambiguity in the OP.
