Splitting a message to array

How do i split a message to an array?

like i got an int that his content is 111.54.3

and i want to split it in every dot into an easy array so i could use each of the numbers(without the dot).

Thanks for helpers!

111.54.3 is not a valid number of the int data type. If that is a string you can use the strtok function

Theres a way that i can do something like

String.find(".")

?

It is not a good idea to use the String (capital S) class on an Arduino as it can cause memory corruption in the small memory on an Arduino. This can happen after the program has been running perfectly for some time. Just use cstrings - char arrays terminated with '\0' (NULL).

Have a look at the parse example in Serial Input Basics
