Srd 05vdc relais vs Relais module

Hello all,
I am currently using a srd 05vdc Relais module

Everything is working and i want to move to a self designed PCB and use the bare relais.

The Relais module uses some electrical components in its PCB. Is there any electrical components needed to run the bare PCB with an arduino? If not for what are they used on the Relais module? Couldnt find any useful Datasheet for this

Thanks everyone

A flyback diode is required, and most probably a transistor. Measure the coil resistance and calculate the required current.

The regular Arduino (Uno, etc.) are rated for 40mA "absolute maximum". Some other Arduino models are rated lower.

Most relays require more than that. The relays you linked to require 71.4 and 89.3mA. That will over-stress the Arduino and the voltage my drop so it may not work at all, or it could be unreliable.

Power (Watts) is calculated as Voltage X Current, so you'll notice that as the voltage goes up, current goes down... The relays from the same series that are rated for higher coil voltage have more turns in the coil (and/or possibly finer wire) and higher resistance (for less current) because they require about the amount of energy to activate.

Thanks a lot. That was exactly what i was searching for

Have a nice day!
