SSR, mosfet or relay for simple remote DC switch?

I've been digging but can't seem to find a good solid answer to this. I'd like to use a mysensors node connected to Domonticz (home automation) to remotely reset the power on my home router. It's 12v and all of 2A Max so I believe a mechanical relay would be a poor choice. I have 3-4 40amp solid state relays and I could use one of those or I could buy whatever else someone might suggest here.

Any suggestions for mosfets and related components or should I just use the overkill SSR?

Thanks and happy new year!

As you only need to turn the power off for a few secoconds, a relay N/C contact in series with the power is all you need. Activate the relay for 5 secs and it is reset.

That's so obvious a solution now I feel silly for even asking! Lol. Thanks, that's exactly what I'll build.

Thanks again, and Happy new year
