ssr using a moc3041 and bt138

hey guys and girls im trying to make a ssr with the moc3041 and bt138 but im having alil trouble with the ac side of the circuit

the data sheet for the moc3041 shows which looks like it shows for a 220vac but im using 120vac(doesnt show was wattage rating for the resistors are) using it to switch a light or meanwell 120vac led driver

i found another circuit

but once again not sure on the wattage rating are for the resistors

if someone could help me that would be great( would like to understand alil more about what rating i need and the math behind it )
i understand the dc side of it
thx in advance

1 watt rating at AC side and 1/4 at DC side of circuit.

Ok but how did u come up with those wattages? Also which circuit do i use because the data sheet for the moc3041 says 220v but im using 120v

The meanwell 120vac led driver is < 20w? You don't need all those components. Should be able to use one VO2223 rated 1A 600v 10A surge. Maybe with an MOV for surge suppression.

My meanwell hlg-185h-c1400b drivers are 200watts and im going to be powering 3 of them

I've built the 1st circuit without the 39-Ohm resistor & capacitor. I just used regular 1/4 or 1/8 Watt resistors. The voltage across the resistors is low. (I'm also used it for 120VAC.)

The voltage across the 39-Ohm resistor is low also because most of the voltage is dropped across the capacitor.

My meanwell hlg-185h-c1400b drivers are 200watts and im going to be powering 3 of them

The current doesn't pass-through the resistors so the wattage doesn't matter (it does go through the TRIAC).

And, those drivers have a 0-10V dimming-input, so are you sure you need an SSR?

Need the ssr to trigger the on and off of the lights as it will be on a light schedule and the drivers only dim down to about 10%
